The luxury British marque has unveiled a new collection of handbags, the result of a collaboration between luxury goods designer Vincent du Sartel and Daniele Ceccomori, head of Bentley product design.
Bentley's distinguished heritage began in 1919 when an engineering genius, W.O. Bentley, focused on his dream to create a car bearing his name. That October the first Bentley engine roared into life.
One thing which has always attracted me personally to the brand of Bentley (aside from the exceptional motor cars) is that it is a brand which is certainly proud of its history. With the launch of the new Bentley Luxury Handbag Collection, the company has once again looked to the past to create something rather new.
The collection has been inspired by Diana Barnato Walker MBE who was the daughter of Woolf Barnato, who was one of the founding Bentley Boys and former Bentley chairman. Barnato herself was a pilot, who, in 1963 became the first British woman to break the sound barrier.
The collection holds two distinct styles of luxury handbags, hand-crafted to create the ultimate in elegance and refinement. Designed to be as exquisite and extraordinary as any one of Bentley's spectacular cars.
The Barnato bag holds the name of the adventurous aviator. A celebrated name for an exquisite bag. A limited edition palette of pure, red calfskin leather with a cream quilted interior.
The Continental bag is named after one of Bentley’s famed model lines. Used on successive generations of cars since 1952 and the underpinning of the brand’s current success since the two-door Continental GT coupe was launched in 2003.
The Barnato is priced at £4,800 and the Continental Handbag costs £3,800 and both are on sale now.
